2007 TAX SEASON UPDATES
PERSONAL INCOME TAX
Due Date
2006 State of Delaware Personal Income Tax is due April 30, 2007.
BUSINESS TAX
Business Licenses
• 2007 Business License Renewal Forms will be mailed to all registered business licensees on Thursday, November 29, 2006. If you do not receive your business license renewal form by Monday, December 11, 2006, please contact our Business Master File department at (302) 577-8778.
• You can renew your 2007 Business License online. You do not need to wait until you receive your renewal form to use this feature. To renew online you will need your 2006 business license, your federal employer identification or social security number and a credit card to make the payment. After submitting your renewal, a temporary license will be produced for you to print. A one or three year license will be mailed to you within 30 days.
• Senior citizens meeting specific criteria are eligible for a 75% reduction in the annual fee of their Delaware business license. For more information, please visit our Senior Citizen Discount page.
Retail Tire License and Scrap Tire Fee
• Effective January 1, 2007, the State of Delaware will now require any person or business engaged in selling tires at retail in Delaware to 1) obtain a State of Delaware Retail Tire Business License (at no cost) for each location at which tires are sold, and 2) charge a $2 Scrap Tire Fee for each tire sold at retail and remit to the State of Delaware. Gross Receipts Tax
• Gross receipts coupon booklets are scheduled to be mailed to Delaware businesses on the following dates:January 18, 2007: Monthly Excise (for business codes 152, 161, 192, 406 TireFee, 502, 503, 701 and 707)
Monthly Petroleum
Monthly Contractor
Monthly Retail, Wholesale, Service and Manufacturers
January 23, 2007: Quarterly Motor Vehicle Dealers, Lessees (business codes 450, 611, 612 and 613)
Quarterly Petroleum
January 26, 2007: Quarterly Contractor
